Day 2 – Friday 10th – beautiful day. Prep team (now with Chris A, Dani and Ed) split into three. A) Chris and Ed – modified vang, sorted rigging and lifelines, B)Judy, Grace, Chris, Dani and Jacqui – perishable provision shopping and C) Jason – to Cowes to register at the RORC Office – all by myself. ‘Just my luck’ I thought as I sat with a glass of champagne in the Mumm tent at Cowes Yacht Haven. Roger arrives with exciting tales from the M25 – shortly after by Denis, Tim, Harry and Marc. Further sorting of boat – Rolex decals applied by master signwriter Girvan. Julian P-J and Lucy arrive on Blue Horizon of Southampton and as we’ve all been good provide us with a BBQ and take us to see the fireworks at Cowes. Bless!! And so to bed.
